Wrong
Address:If the address
provided by the customer is wrong or incomplete, and USPS or UPS fail to
deliver a package, the customer will need to pay the shipping charges once
again to get the package re-sent; if carrier re-routes the package to the
customer the charges for the service as imposed on us will be passed on to
the customer and the customer agrees to pay such and/or authorizes us to
charge his/her credit card for such charges.
Stolen Packages:Packages
are sometimes left by the carrier on a doorstep if no one
is home. It is the responsibility of the customer to make arrangements to
secure the package. If the package is stolen, Sifriyat Ami, Inc. will not be
held responsible, and will not replace the package.
Unclaimed Shipments:If
a package we sent is unclaimed and returned to us, the customer will need to
pay the shipping charges once again to get the package re-sent.
Delivery
Carrier Mistakes:While
USPS, UPS and FedEx are very reliable, mistakes on their part do occasionally
happen. Sifriyat Ami is not responsible for these mistakes, since we have no
control over those companies.
Delivery Carrier Guarantees:UPS
and FedEx guarantee timely delivery for 3rd Day Air, 2nd Day Air, and Next
Day Air services, except for UPS deliveries during the busy seasons (such as
Christmas, Easter, etc...). Please read the UPS and
FedEx Service Guarantees at these addresses for more information:
USPS
does not guarantee timely delivery for Priority Mail, First Class, or Media
Mail shipments.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING OPTIONS & DELIVERY TIMES
Under 4 lbs: Packages are sent by First Class Mail
International or Global
Priority Mail (7 - 10 Business Days) to most countries. Over 4 lbs: Packages are sent by Parcel Post Air (10 - 14
Business Days). Please contact us for a price quote.
Please Note! Once an international package leaves our facility,
Kol Ami assumes no responsibility for its delivery. We have no control
over international carriers, and will not refund for products lost or
damaged during transit.
BROKEN ITEMS & LOST PACKAGES
We do our best to
package all products carefully and anything we send is in perfect
condition. While we appreciate every order, we can't take responsibility
for a product's safe arrival, especially if this is to a foreign country
and we have no control over the package at all.
We reserve the right to refuse shipment to some countries if we find
their postal service is unsuitable (because of rough treatment of
packages).
If a package is returned to us, for any reason, the cost of re-shipping
the package will be the responsibility of the customer.
LOCAL TAXES & CUSTOMS DUTIES
Customers -- not Kol
Ami, Inc. -- are responsible for any local taxes or customs duties which
may arise because of the order; customer is responsible for clearing customs
and paying destination country's duties/taxes (if any).
INSURANCE
Insurance is optional.
If customer elects to purchase insurance the cost is $1.50 per $100 value or part of it.
(i.e. a $225 order will cost $4.50 additional for insurance.)
If a customer requests insurance and Kol Ami was
able to purchase such for the shipment, and such shipment was lost,
customer agrees to have the Carrier insurance claim to be resolved first
before reshipment can be done. A claim for lost international shipment must be filed
not before 45 days (for Italy, 60 days, domestic - 21 days) after shipment and within 90 days
of shipment. For goods damaged through shipping, a claim may be filed immediately.
Once a claim is filed it should be resolved in 7-10 business days.
Sifriyat-Ami wants satisfied
customers. We stand behind our product. If product is damaged (not caused by
delivery), contact Sifriyat- Ami within 10 days to have it replaced. Please
send it back to us, insured and prepaid, in the original condition within 30
days. It is important for customer include a note with explanation and
preferred method for exchange or refund. Include the packing slip and a
daytime phone number. Shipping charges are not refundable. If an item arrives
damaged when returned to us, customer is responsible for the claim.
The type of product we sell can
be easily compromised. We encourage the customer to know what he/she is
ordering and trust the customer to do so. We will not accept a return
because the customer decides the item is not really what he/she wanted.
Customer must be sure beforehand that the item meets the requirements.
All sales are final.
EXCEPTIONS The following items cannot be returned: CDs, DVDs, books, and software cannot
be returned once opened, unless they arrived in damaged condition.
WRONG ITEM SENT
We are very careful when we
pack items, but occasionally, the wrong item may be sent to a customer. If
this happens, please call customer service at 1-212-947-7888 and
tell us about the mistake. The customer will pay the cost to ship the item
back to us, while we will pay the cost to ship the proper item to the
customer.
DAMAGED ITEMS
We stand behind our product.
Any customer who receives a damaged item should contact us first! We need to
bring it to the attention of the shipper. We will replace the item as soon as
possible when something arrives damaged. It's important to keep all of the
original packaging if an item arrives broken, and to notify us within 10 days
of receiving the shipment.
RETURN ITEM CONDITION
& ACCESSORIES
All defective items sent back
to Sifriyat-Ami must be in their original factory condition, and must contain
all packaging materials, booklets and accessories.

Please send all return items
(packaged well and with padding) using the cheapest mail possible with
possible insurance. Shipping charges for returned items are the
responsibility of the customer. We will pay the cost of shipping any
replacement items (using the mail service of our choice).

Occasionally, due to supply
problems, we might not be able to replace a defective item. If this happens,
item can be exchanged for another item of equivalent value.
Please note! ALL shipping charges are non-refundable. This
includes the original shipping charges, as well as all shipping charges for items
sent back to Sifriyat-Ami (for any reason).
