OUR STORY 
Sifriyat-Ami – Hebrew/Israeli Books, Audiobooks, Video, Music and Gifts – is a Kol-Ami, Inc. company, previously operating under the name of Tzomet Sfarim-USA (Feb. 2011 to Oct. 2013) and as Steimatzky (Dec. 2000 to Feb. 2011). We strive to serve our customers with the best, latest and treasured culture of Israel.

Kol-Ami, Inc., is affiliated with SISU Home Entertainment, Inc., publisher of Jewish and Israeli media in North America since 1988. Kol-Ami was established in 1993 to continue the operation of the oldest Jewish music and video catalog in America, Nefesh Ami. This catalog, the brainchild of Moshe (Max) Gottfried, was created by him in the late ‘70s. Max fled Germany with his family as a teenager, at the start of World War II. He later volunteered to the Israeli Army during the Israeli War of Independence. Max and his wife Dina fell in love with Israel and Middle Eastern music. He later partnered with Aris San and opened the Israeli-Greek nightclub “Sirocco” in New York, where Israeli artists used to visit and perform when landing in the Big Apple.

Our rich history and love of Israeli culture is evidenced by our ever-changing inventory and Israeli cultural items we offer, from classic films and documentaries on DVD and our new Digital platform, to Hebrew books in print, audio books and digital coming soon, to music and gifts from Israel.
