In the late sixties, in a tiny Israeli village in the Negev Desert, two immigrant families – one Moroccan and the other Indian – become neighbors. They share nothing in common but poverty and a rigid devotion to their respective cultures. Nevertheless, as they are forced to live together, the two families attempt to build a sense of community. When the sultry Moroccan Nicole (Neta Garty) and the heady Indian Sara (Liraz Charchi) become friends in the height of the sexual revolution, their youth and desire for freedom help overcome cultural prejudices. For these two communities, the road to harmony is twisted with many surprises that are at once satirical and heartwarming.
